We are excited to announce that Ampleen is hosting a panel at the Global Sourcing Forum at the Fashion Institute of Technology (FIT) in New York City on March 24th, 2015.

Many organizations have realized that global sourcing should be a part of their core strategy to reduce costs, and to introduce strategic flexibility and operational agility. But global sourcing is a highly complex initiative that can have far reaching impact on processes, organization and technology. It cannot be taken lightly. Failed global sourcing results in higher costs, operational inefficiencies, disgruntled staff, and on occasion, abandoned strategies.

At this conference, we will review key considerations that companies should bear in mind when developing and executing a global sourcing strategy.  Participants can learn from keynote speakers and panelists about current sustainable global sourcing trends, challenges and opportunities along organizations’ supply chains and product life cycles. Ampleen facilitates a panel focusing on a key element of successful global sourcing — Stakeholder Management:

Panel Title: “A New Key to Unlocking Employee Engagement: Sustainability Programs”

“Culture eats strategy for breakfast,” noted famous business guru Peter Drucker, and at no time does this seem more true than in today’s corporate world. Both strategy and culture are critical to an organization’s success, but many organizations overly place their focus on strategy and miss how important a part that cultural elements like employee engagement and esprit de corps play in strategy. In fact, in regards to employee engagement, a recent Gallup report revealed that globally only 13% of, or one in eight, workers are psychologically committed to their jobs and likely to be making positive contributions to their organization. However, one area offering new promise for enhancing employee engagement is environmental sustainability programs.

Sustainability uniquely has the power to bring together employees in initiatives that, among other activities, preserve the Earth’s natural resources, empower nonprofit organizations, educate local communities and benefit disadvantaged groups. “A New Key to Unlocking Employee Engagement: Sustainability Programs” explores some of the latest trends and case studies in how companies can integrate sustainability programs to catalyze employee engagement, productivity, well-being and, ultimately, profitability. The session will feature a mix of business leaders who will share their successes as well as their challenges in engaging employees.  Click here for More info and registration
